From a my Visual Perspective (5a)








                     












Salvador Dali creates a world of imagination in the "Metamorphosis of Narcissus" which uses extravagant visual linear intensity throughout the piece. The extremities of visual intensity is used through color, lines, shadows, and shapes. The most dominant visual perspective are the shadows that lie on each shape and the ground. It confuses the person who is examining the art work because through the shadows there are also descriptive curvilinear lines that affect the meaning of the art work. Why I choose the reframed shot of the hand holding the egg because the shapes, lines and color are darker, less perspective and detail goes unnoticed because of the bright vibrant colors and lines which are standing out on the left side of the original frame.
The rule of thirds is used largely in the original frame due to the focus on the top left of the framing. The WS generates a retrospect from left to right using the visual space of the lines and colors. The colors run from bright to dark which tends to give the picture more emotion and depth. The tone of the reframed photo gives takes away from the rhythmic movement because the original frames objective was to create a tonal rhythm which causes the artists approach to lose the objective of happy and sad emotions. I have pointed out the subjective visual movement by reframing the left side of the original piece. I point out the subjective view by reframing the stone hand as a third of the frame and show that the lines perceived on the left side take away from the dark and dreary side of the reframed picture.
Dali enforces the bright and dark sides of the frame by colors and shapes of objects through depth cues. As he creates the realm of a dark and bright side, much of the confusion created are by the how the lines are perceived behind the hands that Dali created. Lines run very far until they cannot be seen by the viewer which makes the hands look as if the dark hand is placed closer than the bright yellow sculpture.
